Each Friday Night my friend Lorraine and I start off the weekend with what we call ” D&D”. NOT Dungeons and Dragons. This is Dresses and Drinks. It is a great kick off to vacation life in Hawaii.
Drinks by the ocean
Each week we put on a casual dress,meet in our lobby and go to grab drinks, dinner and watch the fireworks on the beach at The Hilton Hawaiian Village. We both look forward to it all week. It is our weekend kick off. Both of us say “I can’t wait to go on vacation to Hawaii this weekend”.
The hotel does a really nice display every Friday night at 7:45.There is something about being at a beachside pool bar that makes you feel like you are on vacation. It is magical.
This is one of those little things I do for myself that brings me joy. These little things make life fun and help me to continue to build the happiness I have here. It feels like I live a vacation life every day here. As I type this I am sitting on my lanai with a lovely trade wind blowing. This added ritual makes the weekend a little sweeter.
