Living the life you dream of

Living a Dream Life That Is Fit For You

Make your dream your actual life

What does Living a dream life look like to you?

What does living your dream life look like to you? To some people it is a dream job, to some it is living in a certain destination, to others it is less stress and more downtime. There is no one size fits all dream. So think about it, what is YOUR dream life?

A dream life can be your whole life, or parts of your life. It is made up of attributes that make life feel good to you. For me, I needed to find Joy. Happiness and joy are different and my life was missing joy.

A few Steps to get things moving

Firstly, you need to have a plan. A guide to get a clear picture of your dream.

  1. Have a clear vision of what you want. Make sure that you know what the dream is.
  2. Ask yourself what makes you happy and leaves you feeling fulfilled
  3. Is this obtainable (living on the moon, being a mermaid might not work)
  4. Do you believe in yourself

Being limitless

Life is limitless in its potential. The sooner you believe this, the sooner you can start to build the dream. Many times, people downplay their skills and abilities. We get in our own way. You can make changes. You can move in the direction you want to. Slow steps or big leaps, you can live limitlessly.

I had many years of feeling less than enough.  I wrote about it in past posts. Feeling that so much of who I was depending on things society (and an emotionally abusive ex husband) said were beacons of success. Society and the ex were wrong. Success comes from within. Find the things in your life that bring success and build your self worth from your own definition and not how others tell you it should be defined. The only boundaries you need are those you put in place. Be limitless.

The F word..failure

It is ok to fail. Failing is good. Failing allows us to take a second look, to refocus. I originally was SET on moving to the island of Maui. Anything else was failure. What would people say about me? I had spent so much time talking about my future life on Maui. Timing is important and I needed to leap. My lease was up in Michigan and it was time to make a big decision. After spending time looking for housing on Maui, as I did every single day, I decided to shift my search. Deciding to listen to myself and look to see what was available on Oahu. Had I not done that, and stayed hyper focused on Maui, would I be in Hawaii at all? Probably not. I trusted that I could still build the life I had envisioned in Waikiki. Guess what? I have!

Failing will happen but it is ok. Growing and changing the plan to fit what works, gives you control. Control gives you strength. Whatever your dream is, it is ok to tweak it. Dreams are not concrete. Building the dream is done in pieces and those pieces WILL fit if you help them to.

My daily walk in my dream life destination

Just do it

Whatever you see for yourself it is worthy of you. Nobody needs to agree, or approve of your choices. That is the best part. This is for YOU!

I had the support of my friends and family. Had I not, I would be here anyway. I spent my whole life making sure what I was doing and wanting were “right”. Now I spend my life asking myself ” What do YOU think?”. I trust myself. Finally I love myself and moving to Hawaii brought that to me. It shows me in a tangible way that I did it. I picked up and moved to my dream destination, built a wonderful life and feel joyful for the first time in my adult life.

You can check out my YOUTUBE channel where I talk more about what I love, who I am and how to move to Hawaii. Lastly, I appreciate you visiting my blog and although I may not know you personally, I believe in you and I know you can find your dream life too.

  1. […] Yes seems like such a simple answer. Hell yes seems so cliche’. I guess the answer is absolutely. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss my kids and my grandchildren but I also know they all want me happy. Knowing I have a wonderfully full life here makes them happy. And isn’t that what we all want for the people we love? To be happy and fulfilled and living a life they dream of? […]
